About the Role
The Reservationist / Call Agent (also known as Call Center Agent) is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, making reservations, and providing excellent customer service to our guests. You'll be the first point of contact for many families planning their getaway, making this a crucial role in creating positive guest experiences. This position reports to the Office Manager and is a seasonal, full-time or part-time position.

Primary Duties
- Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
- Identify customers' needs, clarify information, and provide solutions
- Make and edit reservations accurately
- Upsell additional services and packages when appropriate
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries
- Respond to customer emails and inquiries professionally
- Build sustainable relationships with customers through open communication
- Keep records of all conversations in our reservation system
- Meet personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets
Customer Service Duties
- Handle customer complaints with empathy and professionalism
- Follow company service recovery guidelines
- Provide accurate property and availability information
- Assist guests with special requests and accommodations
- Escalate complex issues to management when necessary
Do You Have What It Takes?
Education, Training & Experience
Previous experience in a call center or customer service role preferred but not required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in call center or customer service preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- POS experience a plus
- Strong phone contact handling skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Work with minimal supervision
- Maintain a positive work environment
Essential Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a seated position for extended periods
- Ability to use computer and phone systems continuously
- Clear speaking voice and hearing ability for phone communication
